“My early twenties were devoted to work and ultimately my career in law
enforcement. While most of my friends traveled the road to their happily ever after and started families, I was so focused on being successful in this male dominated field; my personal relationships took a back seat. During those years, I experienced multiple failed attempts at a forever after.
By 2006 after another failed attempt, I was on a complete holiday, Swearing off love.
In November of 2007 my friend, Melisa, thought it would be fun to celebrate my birthday by going to a psychic and dinner afterwards. It was this moment that changed my life, however I did not know it yet. Being a skeptic, I wasn’t truly sold on the fortuneteller thing. I always thought it was a fun past time for laughs...but, never truly believed in their generic lines.
So, during my thirty minute reading, Ann, tells me reasons for my past failed romances. Most of which sounded like a good pep talk from a loyal friend. Then I ask the curious question, “When will I find true love?” Ann replied with, “I see you with John. He’s a strong man, about 6’3, in uniform, loved by everyone.” My eyes sparkled at the thought. So I asked, “When, where, and how will I meet him?” Ann smiles and told me I already know him…”
